Hi Brianna,

I don't know what your plans were for places to stay, but one low-cost option is to find people on the Warm Showers list. People (mostly cyclists, including me) sign up to host cyclists on their travels. You can look for Warm Showers hosts at: http://www.warmshowers.org. You can see if the towns you are going to have hosts without an account. Getting the contact information requires setting up a free account. I've been hosting for several years - we always have fun with our guests.

Hey Brianna,
I have been wondering a lot lately if maybe I should be more ambitious, and wishing for more time to "dig into and fully learn" the things I'm passionate about. For me it's geeky things like computer software development (for myself, not for work) and tinkering with electronics, but it seems like when I do find the time for them I use it to watch TV or read, all the while thinking about how I should be doing something more useful with my time.
Just this week, though, I've been feeling particularly stagnant in the vocational part of my life, and I promised myself that in those moments when I have time to do things I will consciously NOT use them for passive things, I will DO instead of just laying around, because when I am working at what I love I feel that I am ambitious about them and productive in doing them.
So, I was moved by this post and will definitely come back to read more, and maybe I'll answer with a simple "Right on!" instead of a blog post of my own :)
